To have true success when training or rehabilitating our dogs, we must be willing to let go of what WE want out of the relationship and focus on what our dogs needs from us. We often don't understand how much our our dog's behavior is a reflection of how we are interacting with them. We expect our dogs to behave well regardless of whether or not we give them guidance, discipline and boundaries. This is an unpopular truth about successful dog training, but none the less, it is the truth.
