Sun Basket markets themselves as a healthy meal delivery service that sends you organic and non-GMO ingredients along with delicious recipes every week. We wanted to find out if what they say is true so we did an in-depth review here and on our website, FoodBoxHQ.com. Here’s what our Sun Basket experience was like…

Our food was delivered in a very well-contained box. While the packaged contents are not biodegradable like Home Chef’s, they got the job done. There were no leaks, the food was still cold, and everything was packaged nice and tight to stay extra fresh.

I have to say that the Sun Basket packaging is actually pretty cute. The outer box has a nice design and when we opened the box it read, “Under here, goodies are near.” These little details make for a nice extra touch.

We cooked the first meal the day after receiving the box. However, all of the meals would have stayed fresh up until one week from delivery.

The actual act of cooking was relatively simple. Most of the directions were clear and easy to follow. My only wish is that they added pictures to the recipe so that it makes it easier for less experienced cooks.

All of the meals we cooked (including the one in the video) tasted very good. It was nice knowing that it was fresh, organic, healthy, and tasty at the same time.
