Hey Food Box HQ Family! Today we're unboxing, cooking, and taste testing HelloFresh to give you our honest review of what this popular meal kit is really like.

If you're not already familiar with them, HelloFresh is a meal kit delivery service that provides customers with pre-portioned ingredients and recipes to prepare their own meals at home.

They offers a variety of meal plans, including Meat & Veggies, Veggie, Family Friendly, Fit & Wholesome, Quick & Easy, and Pescatarian. For this review we decided to go with their Family Friendly plan.

Each week we get to choose our recipes (which are a mix of classic American-style dishes, some unique gourmet options, vegetarian meals, and a handful of more "adventurous" cuisines). After selecting our meals, we go into HelloFresh's marketplace where they have a huge variety of add-ons. These include snacks, premade meals, meats, desserts, drinks, and more.

I noticed that HelloFresh doesn't really have a lot of options for those who have specific food allergies or for those who are trying to stick to a specific diet.

However, what they do have are some of the tastiest meals I've ever had from a meal kit (which you can see in the taste test section of this video).

- One-Pan Organic Beef & Bean Quesadillas with Green Pepper & Lime Crema
- Chicken Noodle Soup with Mafalda Pasta (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- Spinach & Feta Egg Bites (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- Banana Nut Muffins (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- Cuban-Style Slow-Cooked Beef with seasoned tomatoes, rice, black beans, and caramelized plantains (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- Red Wine-Braised Beef with Parisian carrots, mushrooms, and cheesy garlic mashed potatoes (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- White Cheddar Mac & Cheese (Premade Marketplace Add-On)
- SkinnyDipped Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (Marketplace Add-On)

All of the meals (8 total servings) came out to $89.31 and all of the marketplace add-ons came out to $104.44. Our meals pricing is a bit higher than normal because we swapped a normal meal for a "premium" one (for an additional cost) and we added ground beef to our quesadilla meal (for an additional cost).
