Hey Food Box Family! Today we're unboxing and cooking up Dinnerly to give you our review of this meal kit.

If you don't already know, Dinnerly bills themselves as a "value" meal kit. On their biggest plan you can expect to pay around $5 per serving. If this sounds familiar, it's because EveryPlate is a very similar meal kit that also offers $5/serving meals.

If you want to see the differences between both, I highly suggest watching our review of EveryPlate (   • EveryPlate Review: Is This Popular Me...  ) after this Dinnerly review.

Something to be aware of with Dinnerly is that they don't send you paper recipes cards for each of your meals. As you'll see in the video, they sent us the recipes via email.

This is something I both like and dislike. On one hand, receiving the recipes via email is more eco-friendly and reduces paper waste (which I love). It's also convenient because I can easily access the recipes on my phone or iPad if I want to refer back to them. Plus, it's one less thing to clutter up my kitchen!

On the other hand, some people may prefer having a physical recipe card to hold onto and reference while they cook. It can also be easier to follow along with a physical recipe card if you're not as comfortable using electronic devices.

The most notable feature of Dinnerly, in my eyes, is the fact that they offer around 100 recipes every week. This is a huge amount of recipes compared to nearly every other meal kit we've tried.

To put it in perspective, EveryPlate usually only offers 25 to 30 meals per week.

Though, I have found that Dinnerly's marketplace for add-ons is lacking compared to other meal kits we've tried. They really only offer a handful of snacks and desserts.

Overall, though, I do think that Dinnerly offers a good meal kit for what you get. Bigger families, ordering Dinnerly's biggest plan can take advantage of their $5 meals, which is a great value.
