Celebrating mycologists in the lead up to #worldfungusday2022, 2 October.

In our travels following the rain this year we caught up with Dr Tom May, Principal Research Scientist at the National Herbarium of Victoria. He shares why he has spent the past three decades in the field collecting specimens, looking down a microscope, and writing scientific papers and books in his mission to catalogue as many fungal species as he can. With an estimated 2-12 fungal species in the world with only around 150,000 described to date, it's a mammoth task.
