Benign fasciculation syndrome, calves constantly twitching. BFS, harmless muscle twitches for years.

This is how my calves twitch 24/7.

Update this has been the situation for around a noticeable 15 years... a lot of the time I do t notice the twitching but if I sit still and wait they are clearly there!
I appear to be able to filter the sensation out most of the time but they are always there, non stop.

It could be considered a nerve issue in my back or something as I have had lower back issues in the past but I can twitch head to toe so I have been diagnosed with BFS (Benign Fasciculation Syndrome)

This is nothing to worry about and it goes up and down in terms of frequency depending on many factors.

Note* A fairly common trait with people who have BFS would be anxiety, health anxiety or some type of chronic anxiety... Although it may not be the root cause it’s reasonable to suggest that it fuels the condition.
