This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2024 Honda Civic compact car. We are driving the top 2024 Honda Civic Touring model with a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder matched to a CVT, 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. In Canada, this powertrain is only available on the Touring model. In the US, the 1.5T is standard on the EX and Touring trims.
The base 2024 Honda Civic engine is a 2L 4-cyclinder,158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The Civic is a FWD model.
There is a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid on the way, it will be powered by a version of Honda’s new fourth generation two motor hybrid system.
The 2024 Honda Civic comes standard with a 7” touchscreen with wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 7” driver information display, heated front seats, manual front seats, cloth upholstery, an 8-speaker audio system and Honda Sensing Safety and Driver Assist Technology. In the US, heated front seats are not standard.
2024 Honda Civic available features include, a 9” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto and navigation, a 10.2” digital driver display, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless charger, a heated steering wheel, power front seats and heated rear seats
The 2024 Honda Civic does not have ventilated front seats and in the US, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats are not available.
You will pay a little bit more for the Civic compared to its competitors. In Canada the LX-B model starts at $28,754 CAD, EX $31,614 CAD, Sport $32,714 CAD and Touring $36,464 CAD.
In the US, LX $23,950 USD, Sport $25,550 USD, EX $26,950 USD and Touring $30,550 USD.
The 2024 Honda Civic gets great fuel economy, the 2L 4-cylinder, 7.7L/100km, 30 MPG city and
6L/100 km, 39 MPG highway. 1.5T 7.6L/ 100 km, 31 MPG city and 6.1L/100 km, 38 MPG highway.
