Paytm Invests in Gift City :

1. GIFT City, which stands for Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, is going to get its first AI Park.
2. Eros Investments, is the company behind the media giant Eros. The company will invest 16,000 crore rupees in this AI park.
3. Paytm is also planning to invest 100 crore rupees in the city to build it’s own AI-powered cross-border remittance solutions by establishing a development centre.

Dvipa Armour India helps DRDO develop indigenous “Ugram” rifle:

1. Indian firm Dvipa Armour India, along with the DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organisation) has developed an indigenously built “Ugram” rifle.
2. It is supposed to replace more than 3 decade-old INSAS rifles.
3. The rifle was designed by the DRDO’s Pune-based Armament Research and Development Establishments (ARDE).

ZestMoney founders set up another venture SwiffyLabs:

1. Last month, ZestMoney, buy now pay later startup that was shut down and had to lay off their last remaining 150 employees.
2. But their founders Lizzie Chapman and Ashish Anantharaman, who had already left the company are now working on their new venture which is being called SwiffyLabs.
3. Both their LinkedIn profiles don’t show the name of their startup - as they are working in stealth mode.

BluSmart introduces surge pricing:

1. the company seems to have gone back on its word and has introduced a new pricing structure.
2. It sounds like BlueSmart is playing it smart by calling it “rush hour” pricing instead of surge pricing.
3. But the end result is the same - prices are going to go up for BluSmart users during peak hours.

Ather launches Ather 450 Apex to mark their 10 years:

1. Last week, Ather launched the latest iteration of their 450 electric scooter - the 450 Apex to mark 10 years of their journey.
2. And they have brought in some interesting innovations. I think the biggest innovation is their new braking system - the Magic Twist.
3. With the new 450 Apex, you can simply twist your throttle all the way to the other side to come to a complete halt.

1. This week, Kunal Shah has invested in another startup - making it his 245th startup investment. And this time - it’s MyMuse.
2. This week, Indian startups raised a total of 78.81 million dollars.
3. First up, we have Mumbai-based MakeO, a dental and skin care products and solutions provider, which has 16 million dollars
4. Next, we have a Bengaluru-based organic dairy products brand Akshayakalpa Organic, which has raised 12 million dollars.
5. Then we also have Mumbai-based Karkhana.io, which has raised 6.3 million dollars.
6. Next we have Ahmedabad-based spacetech startup PierSight, which raised 6 million dollars in their seed round.
7. we have Bengaluru-based robotics startup Accio Robotics, they have raised 1.8 million dollars in their pre-series A round.
