Krutrim AI opens public beta:

1. On 26th February, Bhavish Aggarwal launched Krutrim AI for public beta testing and the results have been less than impressive.
2. When Krutrim AI was launched last year in December, the company claimed that it can outperform ChatGPT in 6 Indian languages and trained on over 2 trillion tokens, Krutrim’s strength lies in the fact that it is built for India and trained to understand India better than any other LLMs out there.
3. Bhavish had claimed that they were building Krutrim from scratch but after this tweet went viral, a lot of people started questioning the authenticity of Bhavish’s claim.

Paytm update:

1. Vijay Shekhar Sharma has decided to step down from the post of part-time non-executive Chairman of Paytm Payments Bank.
2. And the bank is now in search of a new chairman.
3. They have also appointed new members to their board of directors - as independent directors.

Byju’s vs Investors:

1. Last week, a group of investors had called for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) and unanimously voted to kick out Byju Raveendran and his family members from his own company.
2. But Byju Raveendran claims that he is still the CEO of the company and called the EGM’s resolution invalid.
3. Byju Raveendran had already filed a petition with the Karnataka High Court which said that these investors had violated the shareholders’ agreement by calling for the EGM.

Is Namma Yatri now a serious competitor to Ola and Uber?

1. Namma Yatri and this app which started as Yatri in Kochi in 2020 with just autos is now present across 7 cities in the country and expanded into cabs.
2. The app was rebranded as Namma Yatri and was launched using the ONDC platform in 2022.
3. Since then, they have completed 2.86 crore rides, 50 lakh user on the platform and driver earnings has crossed 50 million dollars.

Dailyhunt in advanced talks to acquire Koo:

1. Indian microblogging platform Koo was launched in 2019 and after a slow start, they managed to garner a lot of attention thanks to the conflict between the Indian government and Twitter
2. Koo had reached 94 million monthly active users. But the company could not sustain this growth and their users started to leave once this conflict started to die down.
3. By 2023, their monthly active users had gone down to just 3.1 million.

2. Bengaluru-based logistics startup Shadowfax raised 100 million dollars in their series E round

4. Bengaluru-based D2C jewellery brand Kushal’s, which has raised 34 million dollars in their series B round
5. Mumbai-based omnichannel pharmacy startup Zeno Health, which has raised 25 million dollars.
6. Bengaluru-based D2C premium luggage brand Mokobara, which has raised 12 million dollars in their series B round.
7. Bengaluru-based health and fitness startup Cult.Fit, which has raised 10 million dollars in their series F round.
8. Bengaluru-based spacetech startup Digantara raised 1.88 million dollars in their series A round.
9. Bengaluru-based spacetech startup SpaceFields raised 800,000 dollars in their seed round.
