Can a professional longboarder get through LA faster than a Tesla? Today we pit them head to head in a 2.2 mile race. From the Venice pier to the Santa Monica pier. Living in LA for most of my life, I can tell you that traffic can crush your day. However, the dense population of people on the Venice boardwalk should also slow down Brandon, our longboarder.

To give you an idea of what we’re up against, Brandon rode his longboard from Venice to Mexico, a 4 day trip. He has also travelled at speeds of 70+ MPH during downhill rides. Brandon also lives in the area so he knows all of the shortcuts to get through traffic. The guy is the real deal when it comes to getting around town.

I will be driving a 2021 Tesla Model 3, the perfect car or this race. Small, nimble, instant torque, and an experienced driver! This should be fairly easy. Traffic lights should be my biggest issue. Watch the video as we track each others locations and see both of our perspectives during the entire race.
