In this video, we walk you through some simple plumbing solutions that can be used to terminate an MLC when doing tap connections to bath or heating plumbing.

The first thing you want to do is cut, bevel, and prepare your 16mm MLC pipe like you normally would. Then, pop on the nut and the olive.

Next, you’ll attach the insert assembly into the 16mm MLC connection. For this you can use any standard 15mm tap connector. There are many plumbing solutions available for this step, including 15mm isolation valves and flexible tap connectors.

Once you’ve selected your connector, just remove the nut and olive that come with the product you’ve chosen, and slide it on to the adapter.

Keep in mind that depending on your need, there are several other fittings that could come in handy, including a bent fitting, fixed point, and copper tails.

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed this brief tutorial on terminating an MLC for tap connections. As you can see, there are a wide array of plumbing solutions out there. For any questions about our products, don’t hesitate to contact us!
