UPDATE: This is how the railroad reported this accident to the Federal Railroad Administration – GA47 was in the process of delivering 44 cars to the CSXT at Howells when they were required to couple to a standing cut of 23 additional cars previously placed in the yard track by a CSXT assignment. After coupling to the standing cars NS GA47 began the process of shoving them in to the clear and, while in the process of stopping, the equipment began free rolling due to a train separation and the air being bottled on the 23 cars GA47 had coupled to. There were not any injuries related to this incident.
