In this episode I wanted to review and discuss the whole "grain free dog food causing DCM" debate that has been raging for the last 3+ years across the internet. I recently came across a good study published this month that helps to shed some light on the issue. The study used foodomics (I did not know that was a thing before I read this) to very precisely analyze the compositions of dog foods that have been reported to the FDA as potentially causing dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs.
