Following the birth of her fourth child, Julia Ortiz Tapia's dreams shifted from a house to call her own to a home for her family. That dream is now a reality thanks to the corporate partnership between Children's Nebraska and Habitat for Humanity. After months of preparing with a financial counselor, Julia, who works as a lead ambulatory patient scheduler, became mortgage ready and closed on her first home this fall. Julia is the first to utilize the partnership and encourages others to consider the program as Children's fulfills its People First Promise prioritizing the wellbeing of its team members.
