We know him mostly for Custer's Last Stand, but the ladies of 1873 Toledo remember George Armstrong Custer for something else entirely.

Custer, Sherman, Grant, & Sheridan Take Toledo One Kiss at a Time, and can we expect anything else? You put these four generals in a room with 2000 women, and they will find a different kind of war to wage... and win.

But best of all is the Steve Alexander (George Custer living historian, of movies, books and lecture fame) pamphlet "The Kissing Generals" published for the Little Bighorn Associates.

I recommend anything about Custer's Last Stand by Donovan, Leckie, Stiles, Frost, Utley, Graham, Carroll, Liddic, etc.

And Elizabeth Custer's memoirs are fantastic!
