Lenskart wants to build a “mega factory” in Bengaluru

1. Lenskart wants to build a “mega factory” in Bengaluru and Peyush Bansal has gone on LinkedIn to find the land for his factory.
2. This mega factory is expected to be spread over 25 acres of land and he wants to build it within 60 kilometers of the Bengaluru Airport.
3. And if that’s the case, this will be more than twice the size of Lenskart’s largest manufacturing facility which is currently in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan).

3. Ather’s Rizta comes in two variants - Rizta S and Rizta Z - the first one is their standard electric scooter which gives you an IDC range of 123 kilometres per charge, while their Rizta Z comes with two battery options giving you a range of 160 kilometres and 123 kilometres respectively.

Ola Cabs shuts down international operation to focus on India

1. Ola has decided to shut down their international ride-hailing business in the UK, Australia and New Zealand by the end of April.

3. A spokesperson from the company said, “The future of mobility is electric - not just in personal mobility but also for the ridehailing business”.

After Namma Yatri and Rapido, Ola and Uber have decided to launch subscription-based model for their auto drivers

1. Ola and Uber have been criticised by their drivers for charging high commissions but it looks like these companies have decided to not charge any commission from their auto drivers any more.
2. Instead of charging a commission for every ride from the drivers, they will now be charging a fixed fee (daily or weekly fees) from their driver partners.
3. This is great news for the drivers as it will translate to increased earnings for them. But this also means that Ola and Uber will not be offering online payment options and won’t be able to set the fares for these rides.

Swiggy might opt for a confidential IPO filing

1. According to this The Arc report, Swiggy might opt for a confidential IPO filing.
2. Companies have to file a DRHP with the SEBI to get an approval before they can go ahead with their IPO.
3. with a confidential IPO filing, their financials will remain - well confidential until they get approval from SEBI.
