In a new documentary airing tonight on ITV1, friend-of-the-show Kate Garraway will bravely open up about how her marriage changed as husband, the late Derek Draper, battled the effects of Covid for nearly four years. Kate says while she accepted her role as a round-the-clock carer, one of the biggest challenges she faced was knowing Derek loved her but never seeing signs of it. Ruth knows exactly how that feels as she is the primary carer for her mother, and argues you should never feel guilty for admitting you miss feeling love and appreciation from those you are caring for. Plus Brenda and Linda discuss how it felt for them to rely on the help of their children when they were unwell.
