Dark has many artifacts that travel through time with the characters. In season 3 we learned the origin of the silver pendant inscribed with the patron saint of travelers, St. Christopher. The pendant has been the sign of the connection between Jonas and Martha in the Netflix original series. This connection crosses time, alternated worlds, and different versions of the characters. This Dark video follows the St. Christopher medallion’s path through the story chronologically from when it was first introduced into the timeline, until the story comes to an end.
The pendant changes hands many times, but it always holds special meaning for Jonas Kahnwald (Louis Hofmann) and Martha Nielsen (Lisa Vicari). The Martha he fell in love is killed in his world, but he learns there is another world that is entangled with it. The alternate world Martha plays a role similar to Jonas’s and there she falls in love with him, but he’s also killed. In both cases the St. Christopher pendant becomes a memento of their time together.
Dark season 3 introduced the idea of quantum entanglement, and split realities that can exist simultaneously. This means the path of the pendant is very complicated, and that there is more than one at the end of the story. After tracking the path of each of these we found that writers had done something completely remarkable, and fitting for the story. This is one the coolest easter eggs that exists in the show.

The third season of Dark was more complicated than its previous installments. With two worlds, more characters, and time periods that stretch farther than the ones we’ve already seen. The concept of quantum entanglement was introduced with multiple realities existing alongside each other. The origin world is the only one left at the end, and we discuss what that means about characters we knew for the old world.
Dark season 3 is one of the best for this Netflix series. The showrunners gave the series the ending that they had envisioned, and we think that Dark fans will enjoy it.
In the third and final season, DARK reaches its mind-bending conclusion, moving beyond the concept of space and time. Upon arrival in a new world, Jonas tries to make sense of what this rendition of Winden means for his own fate, while the ones left behind in the other world are left on a quest to break the loop that now not only bends time but also space. Two worlds. Light and dark. And in the center a tragic love story of epic proportions.
