This talk hosted by Tergar Chicago provides an introduction to the basic anatomy of the emotional brain. Here, you'll learn about the parts of the brain that are involved in generating both afflictive and pleasurable emotions. This will include a discussion on the neuroscience of empathy and compassion. We'll also discuss brain systems involved in managing stress and emotions, and how these brain systems are engaged during meditation. The session includes discussion, guided meditations on emotional states, and a question & answer session.
