READ: Applicable through 2024. Lesson #1 is 45 minute video that provides information required to sit for the FAA part 107 remote pilot knowledge exam. This lesson includes the definition of drones, small unmanned aircraft system, drone registration requirements, operating rules, and reporting accidents.

As of April 21, 2021, the FAA permits nighttime drone flight without the need for a waiver however, the use of anti-collision lighting must be used and, the certified remote pilot must have completed an initial knowledge test or training as applicable under § 107.65 after March 1, 2021. Be aware to how the FAA words questions, as they will test your reading comprehension often. For example, you must be at least 14 years of age to "take the exam," but you must be at least 16 years of age to receive your remote pilot certificate.
