Kentaro Kawamori is the co-founder and CEO of Persefoni and the recipient of the Young Alumni Achievement Award.

Originally from Hawaii, Kawamori came to Arizona for more educational and career opportunities. He both received his MBA and met his future wife at ASU before going on to work at several prestigious companies, eventually joining forces with his Persefoni co-founder.

Persefoni, which measures businesses’ carbon footprint and climate impact, is a leader in the climate technology space and was named No. 2 in the World’s most innovative companies in the Energy and Sustainability category by Fast Company in 2023.

Kawamori has been named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 in 2020 and was a finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2022.
