17.10.2022 - A44 near Jackerath, Northrine-Westfalia, Germany - Semi truck crashes into construction protecting trucks

On Monday (17.10.2022), two 7.5 ton trucks with traffic protection trailers, parked on the hard shoulder to unload traffic signs for a future construction zone. A semi truck crashed into both trucks, before coming to rest on a field. The driver of the semi truck was transported to a hospital, for the safety workers there is no avaliable information about injuries.

A recovery company towed the first truck and both trailers away. The trailer of the semi truck was separated from the tractor, the rear axle was straightened using a chain hoist. The semi tractor and the orange truck were loaded onto flatbeds using a Liebherr LTM 1160 mobile crane.
