If you’re in the market for some Salomon boots, you’re probably the type of person that just wants the high lights and none of the BS in a review. So, in this video I’m going to explain why I think Salomon screwed up the Speed Assaults. Not going to get into the shoe makeup that much, but just what the issues I had before you spend $150 bucks on these things.

Now, I’m not a Salomon hater by no means, they’ve made some amazing shoes in the past, these are still some of my favorite boots, I wear them all the time, as you can see, they have some use on them. Great for rainy days. I’ve had their trail shoes, blah blah blah.

But I am becoming leery of any shoe company attaching anything to do with speed to a name, because, from my experience, it seems as if the company is just taking material out to make it lighter and more “minimalist” but that’s not always a good thing. Especially if you’re planning to use these in a tactical application or environment. You cant make a crappy shoe and then say well it’s to be light on your feet, well I can be light on my feet in hey dudes and flip flops, but I’m not gonna call them speed assaults.

Because there is such a lack of support and cushion, after a few minutes in kit, my feet were killing me. About an hour of wearing them slick, my feet were killing me. Instead of speed assault they should be called feet assault because that’s what they did. Dad joke.

After wearing these all the time and having my feet feeling like they were on angel feathers, I was excited to spend $160 bucks at the time to get these, and I go to this and they’re terrible. Only time I was fast in these, were to get the damn things off. And hey, this is coming from someone that worked out In chuck taylors for years, hell I did a half marathon in them. Terrible idea and I don’t recommend it, but the point is, those didn’t hurt my feet as much as these did

But they’re on sale right now on the website, which is prob because they suck so much they gotta get rid of them. Right here is out right lie, it’s talking about ankle support, what it should say is, there is none, f your ankles. If you appreciate honesty then make sure to give the video a like and subscribe.

They look sleek as hell, they feel very light but, because this part is so flimsy, and not just this part, it goes all they way to here, the only part of your heel that’s in the shoe is right here, so my heel would constantly pop out, unless I had them crazy tight.

If I had to say anything good about them, the tread is decent if you’re in the woods. They look cool and I know that’s 95% of anything we get, buttttt they’re terrible.
