The Joker movie is causing quite a stir amongst comic book movie fans - far more so than it was expected to when it was first announced (it didn't create much of a buzz, to put it mildly).

And that's thanks entirely to the recent trailer, which showcased Joaquin Phoenix's version of the Clown Prince of Gotham in all his glory for the first time.

One of the characters who featured in that trailer was Brett Cullen's Thomas Wayne - and he will feature heavily in this theory video.

The theory is that the Joker has a very strong connection to Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne and indeed the Wayne family in general in this movie - and that he may even be the cause of Batman's creation.

One aspect of the theory is that Thomas Wayne might actually be Arthur Fleck's father in this movie - making the Joker the half-brother of Bruce Wayne, the boy who could grow up to become Batman.

But there are also some even crazier parts to it - such as the idea that he's not actually the Joker at all, and that he'll inspire the true Joker, or even manipulate young Bruce Wayne into becoming the Joker in this universe!
