The stock intake pipes on the Z are made out of plastic and rubber, which will wear and degrade over time. I’ve experienced that happen to my Honda and I replaced all of those hoses in my engine bay with ones from HPS. They will not break down like rubber hoses and are essentially lifetime items. I did the same thing with my 240 by replacing the cracking old hoses with new ones, and wanted to do the same thing with my Z.

The stock intake pipes are restrictive and also feature an intake resonator on each pipe. This kit replaces the OEM restrictive rubber accordian intake tubes, which improve air flow and reduce heat soak while keeping the stock well-designed air box.
