I recently got introduced to the concept of a low vs high energy flux diet and it changed everything for me. Previously I would fall into the same trap that most people do. Start a diet by decreasing my calories and then wonder why 2 weeks in progress slowed.
It has everything to do with your body adapting to the decrease in calories either by regulating hormones to increase your hunger to attempt to get you to eat more or the simple fact that you now weigh less so you expend less energy moving around.
When you realize that increasing your activity expenditure and keeping your calories the same is the best way to limit metabolic adaptations you see how easy it is to lose fat!
