Back in 1987 I began creating a series of underwater cave videos in a map tour format, I called Video Cave Maps™ My goal was to show the entire cave system of popular tunnels for those interested in what an underwater cave really is like.

Please understand these early videos were created using small VHS analog format tape and not in HDTV. So the quality is going to be what you are used to seeing on my channel. I used a basic VHS editing bench back then wityh some special effects generators designed for home video.

To get these older tapes uploaded to YouTube, I make a copy to a DVCAM tape and then digitized the DVCAM tape to the hard drive.

This first video has a short explanation on what a video cave map is and how a cave diver can use it. There were originally documents that I published with the tape but these are no longer available for now.

The music in the video was all licensed from the copyright holders.

The original VHS tapes were sold at retail back in the 80's but today, are no longer available from my company. Instead, enjoy the entire video here for free.
