Many of us are experiencing physical pain and discomfort these days, whether the intense pains of illness or other pains and feelings that result from changes in our lifestyles during the time of physical distancing. While we should do what we can to alleviate such symptoms, when physical pain is unavoidable we can use it on our path of awakening. This week we will study how the sensation of pain itself can support us to rest in awareness and to discover our innate wisdom and compassion, both for ourselves and for others.

This teaching is part of Tergar’s Joy of Living program. You may want to continue learning how to use the body, sensory experiences, pain, thoughts, emotions as support for meditation at https://tergar.org/joy

The translation of the Youtube Premier with Mingyur Rinpoche is provided by Tergar Meditation Community. Audio streams will be available in French, German, Indonesian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Czech, Chinese Mandarin, Thai, and Tibetan.
