Restoration of an old vise From a skip. so someone had thrown this old record No5 vise in the scrap bin/skip, it was missing the jaws, the screw was good but the spring assembly was incorrect. rusted together and in a very sore state, so i couldn't leave this beauty to go and be melted down into something new so i pulled it out, assessed the work that was needed and decided to bring the old girl back to life. a bit of cleaning up, wire wheeling and a nice purple paint job, a bit of grease and a new washer for the screw, we had this beauty back up into a servicable working condition. I decided to film this for people that may think old broken tools are only worth throwing away.
