Freedom Summer 2023 is a $1 million grant program, which aims to support Chicago-based organizations working to reduce violence by creating and expanding spaces and programming where boys and young men of color can safely learn, play, and engage. This year, the MBK Alliance awarded 33 Chicago-based nonprofits with Freedom Summer grants, in turn positively impacting the lives of hundreds of our youth.
