After the death of Trayvon Martin, President Obama called on his administration, supporters, and community to collectively work to effect change for boys and young men of color. As a result, the My Brother’s Keeper initiative was created as a national call to action to build safe and supportive communities for boys and young men of color.

Today, as part of the Obama Foundation, the MBK Alliance anchors itself on the purpose for which it was founded: breaking down barriers, which so often keep Black and brown boys and young men of color from reaching their maximum potential. In honor of Trayvon Martin’s memory, and for every young man like him, we invite you to join in our work and fasten yourself in the belief that change will, indeed, come.
