Do you have shoulder popping, clicking, pain or just want to have great mechanics and strong shoulders? I was a chiropractor with torn glenohumeral ligaments and rotator cuff muscles as seen on an MRI. What I am giving you here are the exercises that helped me and have helped my patients with acute and chronic shoulder injuries. The exercises and stretches are focused on the rotator cuff muscles and the scapular (wing bone) stabilizers. Some of the muscles worked are the supraspinatus, teres minor, rhomboids, anterior deltoids, lateral deltoids, posterior deltoids, serratus anterior and inferior trapezius muscles to name a few.

Be cautious by starting with light weights and slower repetitions. Do a video every other day or more frequently if able. You can also do the videos that don't involve using weights but will give you a safer workout. If these are too much for you, stop and give us a call. Also check out ESWT (extracorporeal shockwave therapy) as one of our treatment possibilities. With shockwave therapy, we can effectively break up scar tissue in places like the biceps tendon or the joint capsule. Angiogenesis (blood vessel proliferation) comes in and new collagen is formed. It's well researched and, with a practitioner that knows the nuances of the shoulder joint, is a very effective tool to use on the path back to strength and flexibility.

This series does not have the views that the TMJ or ETD videos have but I can say that I am most proud of this series because I know how hopeless a shoulder injury can be. Without the right care, they can last for years upon years. With these videos, consistence, caution and a good healthcare provider there is hope for weak and damaged shoulders.
