Jenny reviews the all electric 2023 Polestar 2 and also compares it against what we can expect in the all new MY24 variant to be released later this year.

Polestar as a company is commited to fully electric vehichles and presents itself as a formidable alternative to electric cars like Tesla, Hyundai Ioniq and Audi E-Tron.

There are a few different battery motor configurations you can choose from which in turn give you different range and performance capabilities.

The entry point is a standard range single motor.That has a 69kWh lithium ion battery. It offers 445-478 km of range. Its Front Wheel Drive. It produces 170kW / 231hp of power and 330 Nm of torque. It skips from 0-100 in just 7.4 seconds.

The MY24 Polestar 2 standard range single motor wisely becomes RWD with 69 kwh and 519 km range. It increases the power output from the motor to 220 kW and 490 Nm. It shaves 1.2 seconds of it’s 0-100 time.

If you want range but aren't too worried about power then your best option is the Long Range Single Motor. That one has a bigger 78kWh lithium ion battery. It offers 515-551 km of range.
Its Front Wheel Drive and produces 170kW / 231hp of power and 330 Nm of torque
And also skips from 0-100 in 7.4 seconds.

MY24 will give an 82 kWh battery with up to 635 km of added range. If you want decent range but performance the Long Range Dual Motor that i have here is what you would be after
It has the bigger 78kWh lithium ion battery and gives 455-487 km of range. Having 2 motors allows it to be AWD. It produces 300 kW / 408 hp of power and 660 Nm of torque
It flies from 0-100 in just 4.7 seconds. There's a performance update that gets that number even speedier down to just 4.4 seconds.

Current pricing will go up for MY24 but current pricing for the Polestar 2 is as follows:

The Standard Range Single Motor‎ starts at $69,597 driveaway
A Long Range Single Motor $74,277 driveaway
A Long Range Dual Motor from $79,477 ‎driveaway

This Long Range Dual Motor that's fully optioned with all the packs ends up costing $102,218 driveaway.
