Polestar is not afraid of switching things up. Last year they gave us a long range single motor model with a front motor. Sounds practical, right? Forget about it. This year the single motor is 50% more powerful and it's in the back. Dual motor models also get a change: more power in the back, less torque steer, and everything gets longer range than before thanks to better efficiency. Charging? Oddly that's only better with the single motor model, but the charge peak is high (205 kW) and supposedly flat which should enable 25-30 minute charging sessions. Want to charge faster AND have AWD? You might want to wait a year. In Europe Polestar has already swapped the bigger pack into the dual motor model so it's only a matter of time until we get that in America.
