The second season of HBO's Westworld is a bit of a mess. An epic, beautiful, erratic, needlessly complicated mess that doesn't quite live up to the amazing first season. And that's because of one thing: it focuses so much on plot twists and gotcha moments that it forgets its most important asset: the characters.
