Born into a wealthy Colorado family in 1889, Rosemary "Silver Dollar" Tabor wanted to be an actress and went to Colorado Springs to be a featured actress in the 1914 film The Greater Barrier. She tragically was murdered in Chicago at the age of 36 in 1925. The film the Greater Barrier is an orphan film that was independently produced by the Pikes Peak Film Company. It deals with an interracial relationship between a Native American Colorado College football player and a Caucasian coed.
