The New York Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which offers financial assistance grants for non-medical expenses to qualifying patients who are under care for a cancer diagnosis in the Greater Metro Area (within the counties of New York City, as well as Nassau & Suffolk). The Foundation strives to relieve some of the financial burden patients face so they may focus on their treatment and healing.

At the foundation’s 3rd Annual Raising Hope Gala in October 2024 a special honoree of the evening was Ted Okon, Executive Director of the Community Oncology Alliance, whose tireless efforts and advocacy for cancer patients have made a significant difference in the field of oncology.
