So here we are, my compilation of my highlights of mainline and heritage steam in 2022!

It has been quite the up and down year as far as the steam scene is concerned, whilst we’ve seen a great variety of action across the country the year had been plagued by steam bans during the hot and driest summer on record and the ongoing rail strikes which will no doubt continue to provide challenges for 2023 (for better reasons), me personally I’ve had more time out of the channel than what was widely dealt with as I spent sometime in the USA on holiday and rediscovered newfound interest on riding several railtours during the year

Non the less here is a 48 minute video with 60 shots (with a few not being uploaded or seen before) on my personal highlights of steam in 2022! Whilst 6233 ‘Duchess of Sutherland’ takes up the bulk of the video with a wide range of outings I was able to film my 2022 highlight no question was the return of 4498 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ in LNER Wartime Black! 2023 looks promising with her eventual return in BR Express Blue!
