The Sonics are the godfathers of Pacific NW rock & roll. The band had a legendary influence on garage rock, punk and grunge. In the 1960s, the Sonics made few if any television appearances, yet their reputation and fame has grown internationally over the years. In the northwest, their biggest hits were "The Witch," "Psycho," and "You Got Your Head On Backwards." Legends that they are, in April 2015 while performing at Easy Street Records in Seattle, the Sonics recorded the album "Live at Easy Street." Past and present members of The Sonics, who appeared at Easy Street that night, included Gerry Rosalie (vocals & keyboard), Larry Parypa (lead guitar), Rob Lind (sax), Freddie Dennis (bass & vocals) and Dusty Watson (drums). In this set, Andy Parypa, founder of The Sonics, dropped by to play bass.

Radio station KEXP in Seattle captured on video the show at Easy Street Records. This performance at my channel is from that recording. Technically the audio track has been improved upon: feedback has been mostly eliminated and lip sync issues corrected.
