If what you value in a front-wheel drive car above all are its handling and quality feel, plus you just have to have a soft top cabriolet, then the Mini Cooper drop-top is among the best cars you can buy. The last time I drove one was a few years ago when it was a relatively new car, and I was blown away by how fun it was to drive. Now I've driven one again, this time towards the end of the model's life (it's going to be replaced in the next year or so), and I can say it's still just as competent and characterful as I remember it.
