In this video we tour the 2,000 passengers ship the SS Norway, owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines and sailing in the Caribbean. In its day, it was the largest passenger cruise ship sailing and was 50% larger than any other cruise ship. Original built and entering service in 1962 it was named the SS France until it was bought by NCL in 1979 and underwent $80 million in renovations. At the time of my sailing, the ship was already 24 years old. On this cruise, we sailed to the Bahamas, St. Thomas Virgin Islands and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island.
