The SS Normandie, launched in 1932, is widely considered one of the greatest and most luxurious ocean liners to ever sail the Atlantic. Her famous rivalry with the RMS Queen Mary set a new standard for ocean travel and claimed the Blue Riband for France. She was a favorite until she came to a fiery end during the chaos of World War 2.
