Med School is difficult in any part of the world, but knowing a few things can make the whole journey a bit easier and a bit more effective, and this video is all about those things.

⚡️Timestamps/Chapters
00:00 Intro
01:01 The importance of GOOD lectures
05:08 Spend more time in the hospital
07:53 Friends
08:52 Networking with other batches
11:10 All the fun stuff

Short Summary:
1. Attend as many good lectures as you can
Listening to lectures and then studying on your own is much more effective and easier than self study. Stuff you listen to in lectures will be at the back of your mind somewhere and will come in handy either when studying the chapter or sometimes even miraculously when you're panicking in the exam.

2. Spend as much time as you can in the hospital
Med School is where they spoon-feed you the A to Z of medicine, and when you have so many opportunities to learn, letting it go would be foolish. Spend more time in the hospital, examine more patients, present more cases, do more mistakes(not involving patients though lol), learn from your mistakes. The confidence you build by doing this will take you a long way. Remember, the hospital is where you need to thrive, not the library.

3. Good friends
It's very important to find a group of friends who have the same study goals as you. Not only do they keep you accountable and motivated, group discussions are one of the best ways to learn anything.

4. Making friends from other batches
Try to meet and be friends with people from all batches, you'll never know how they can be of help. They can help you with exams, research work, volunteering, with getting a job once you graduate, guide you on how to clear your exams, and you can have all this and more just by being more open to people and genuinely trying to build a friendship with them.

5. Extra-curriculars
NEVER avoid doing stuff you love just because you're in med school. You could be an athlete, an artist, a photographer, a YouTuber(lol), a movie star(??) or whatever, don't drop these identities just because you're now a "medical student". Of course, you'll have to dedicate a lot of time to studying, but that doesn't mean you can't spend your free time doing things you love. And not doing things you love is how you can swiftly hit burnout and make your life miserable in med school (Now, we don't want that, do we?). So make sure you have a nice balance with life and work, and have fun!🙌🏼
