I decided to document my gardening process in a series of videos! I have had a lot of questions and requests for information on gardening lately. Actually every year I have requests to run workshops on this, but this year even more people seem to be interested. I think there has been a bit of a push form multiple media sources on gardening and becoming more self sufficient as we don't know what might be coming down the pipe line.

Current situation aside, it is always a good idea to become more connected with your food chain! Gardening is an amazing connection with mama Earth and such a fabulous concept to share with your kids. Weather they want to get in the dirt with you or not, the produce is top notch and really, who can actually resist fresh peas and carrots right from the garden?!


I do NOT consider myself to be an expert on gardening! Not even close, my best advise is to ask an old person! That's what I do when I want to learn something from someone who has experience. I was raised in a house with a garden, we grew what we could and ate fresh foods all summer. My mom would pickle some carrots and cucumbers, make salsa and jam, and usually can some peaches, beets, and more!
I have had a garden every year since I have been settled down in Airdrie, so the last 10 years. I was the manager of the community garden for some years and have been involved in some way to keep that project going here since 2010.

Again, not an expert but every year I get better and learn from my mistakes!
Maybe this series will show you that even with my minimal skills you can still produce a beautiful harvest!
