In Iceland tens of thousands of women, including the prime minister, have gone on a 24-hour strike over gender inequality in the country. Shops and schools across the small Nordic nation were either closed or operated on limited hours as female staff walked off the job to highlight the gender pay gap and protest against gender-based violence. More than a quarter of the country's population of 390,000 attended a rally in the capital of Reykjavik in support of the cause. Madison Watt reports.
