Dr. Don Caspary and Dr. Brandon Cox are auditory research scientists in SIU School of Medicine’s Department of Pharmacology. They are studying the mechanisms for the transmission and processing of hearing in the ear and brain. The duo are co-investigators on a grant with Tom Brozoski, PhD (rtd.) to see if the drug sazetidine can be used to treat tinnitus, the phantom sound of ringing in the ears.
