Aston's answer to the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus has arrived! But will it be the saviour the company so desperately needs?

Well, here are some numbers. Around 55% of all Aston Martin sales during the first quarter of 2021 were DBXs, a sign that the SUV is already delivering on expectations. It's also competitively priced at £158,000, putting it just above the Bentayga V8 and a bit blew the Urus. Unlike the aforementioned cars, the DBX is built on a bespoke platform, meaning it should both handle better and be a bit more roomy than its competitors. And to top it all off, it gets a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 542bhp. So it gets the numbers right, but does it feel and drive like an Aston?
