Hi everybody,
Welcome back, in this episode I am showing you the #install of a big #custom #cabinet.
Because of time constraints I could only show you this. But I did my utmost best to get it to you.
The first stage of the installation is getting the lowest cabinets level and in the same plane, this takes the same amount of time of all modules which go on top.
The doors get packed tightly because they are delicate, and the hinges get dismantled. Alongside the other jobs bart assembles the hinges here.
The base cabinets are in position then they could be attached to each other with screws.
Then as followup all the other elements are stacked on the base.
The sizing of the modules are in a manner so they are safely transported and practical when handled and placed but not too small otherwise it would take some more time.
At that point all the modules are attached to one another and too the concrete and brick back wall. We established 4 pounting points for this size cabinet and used concrete anchors to secure it.
Then I focused on the lighting, this is a LED system and they are attached to the upper modules. The light provides indirect lighting not revealing the type of light technology and giving a pretty atmosphere.
Parallel Bart made sure the doors got attached and fitted to the right spot.
And then It was done!
This was really a big detailed project, and a lot of time condensed in a small space and object. I hope you enjoyed it!
Me and my buddy Bart we designed and made this in the workspace. It took about 3 design steps to come to this overall design and the customer was quite involved in this.
We find this design really cool and playful considering the scale of the object.
The douglas fir panels and nooks really break the surface and the inside color there give it some rest to focus on the contents
