Here is the proper way to install a window note; we had to break out the stucco properly,

Plastering or applying stucco to a newly installed window that was saw-cut is not actual code, so don't saw-cut it and leave it up to the next guy to fix it.
Instead, break out the perimeter stucco using a rotary hammer, thus salvaging the paper and wire for correct tie-ins. I used your everyday stucco; however, I added Lumnite as an accelerator to set it in minutes instead of hours.

It’s easy for a window company to install their new windows if they say to cut the stucco.
However, this leads to a hairline crack around the perimeter.
Plus, the blade will often slice through the waterproof membrane, which is not good.

So, how do you stucco a replacement window? Easy, it’s all here in this easy-to-understand video.
You install new windows around your home and break them out properly;
Thus no need to worry about leaking or hairline cracks.

It’s best to break out the perimeter with an electric or battery-operated rotary hammer with a half-inch bit, as in the below video.
In this quick how-to video, I’m improvising. I told the homeowner I would apply a bonding agent and the perimeter but could not guarantee a hairline wouldn’t form the edge where the saw cut in the stucco was done.

I doubled up the bonding agent’s full strength around the opening and the inner saw coat and added extra wire to prevent any hairlines from happening.
