A project I've been meaning to complete and test for some time finally got the nudge today as the gods dictated that I require an AC-powered heat gun very very far from any electrical outlets in order to repair an irrigation pipe junction.

Having, on hand, some 48V 2kWh lithium batteries AND an old 48V computer UPS from the 1980s I thought it was time I took my show on the road and prove that an old 2200VA inverter, masquerading as a UPS, and a piece of a scrapped hybrid car battery could, together, give me 1500W of 120VAC power wheresoever I would care to haul them to.

I'm pleased to report that it worked just fine and that emperor Wang the Perverted did not upset my operation despite his moniker's presence on the old UPS.
